Scott take your dog to vet asap. I recognize that thick clear frothy vomit as a sympton my dog had in the beginning of the Parvo virus.

On Saturday my dog was it's usual self. She jumped all over the man who came to look at the boiler. Later that evening she regurgitated all the food she ate. The next morning she would not touch her food, that was a shocker for me since she would eat anything that passed under her nose, even cake. About 4.30 am Sunday morning the flood gates opened in the form of a watery diarhea, she continued to drink alot of water though, but regurgitated that as well .The weight loss became noticeable, brought her to Banfield pet hospital on 117th street in NYC on Wednesday, she was admitted immediately and is there as we speak.I am praying that it was not too late. Diagnosis was Parvo. BTW, Petsmart offers a free diagnosis/consultation for those of us who do not have deep pockets in these hard times.

My puppy was only seven weeks old and we are scheduled to get his shots as soon as the vet feels he is fully over the parvo but the vet said it was good I acted quickly because the dehydration is what kills them and the diarreah and vomoting are signs of the parvo along with the stool have blood and really white and liquid and stinking something awful. So far sure he had parvo no doubt according to the vet.

My puppy came down with this on december 30-31 not sure but saw symptoms on December 31 around 8pm to late to get to the vet they were closed read your site did not have pedilite I did have some pepto and a dropper which I started giving the puppy water and pepto. He was still throwing up and then I remember when people are sick in the hospital they are given glucose (sugar water) I started giving him sugar water and pepto as about 1/2 teaspoon of pepto and as much as a 2oz of water every thirty minutes for about two hours. Then just water via the eye dropper. I went to bed around 2am and around 4am the puppy walked into my room and made noise so I put him in a blanket by my bed and he slept at 6am again peptpo and water and he was taking all the water he could get. Took until today 1/6 for his bowel to come back to brown color but he was on his way to health by the afternoon of 1/1/12 I did feed him boiled chicken, baby rice, rice and baby sweet potatoes. I don't know if what I did was right but the sugar water helped and the pepto stopped the diaherriah and vomiting. As of today he is fine and eating and drinking and playing and letting us know I am here.

Hi, my name is Ceymone and yesterday I just got a 3 month year old puppy that was not abandoned, but was locked in a cage and fed sometimes. His ribs are showing, but he is running around and playing with teddy bears and toys. His name is Toby and he looks like a black lab mixed. I found him in the neighborhood. I already have a dog named Freedom and is a Chihuahua/Jack Russel mixed. He has all his shots and he is perfectly healthy. Should I let Toby around my dog? Will Toby be okay.

I fed him and he's getting his weight back ! But someone please respond to make sure that it is safe to have Toby around Freedom.
